A groundsman typically works in construction and maintenance of electrical distribution or transmission
facilities. Under the supervision of journeyman electricians, they assist with responsibilities on electrical projects. Electrical jobs, including linesmen positions, are expected to increase 12 percent between 2008 and 2018 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, making the job outlook positive. New homes, businesses and communities always have a need for electrical grounds men. New technologies like smart
power grids and solar connections also make the electrical worker a necessary position.
